Week 8 Goals

My focus scripture for this week is from

On going Projects:
1. Meal planning - creating a basic guide menu
2. Creating a weekly routine
3. Rebuilding and super gluing the boys Lego.
4. My Homemakers Challenge Post for April
5. Putting together our two thousand pieces Coca-Cola puzzle

My goals for this week are:

1. For my time in the Word:
My focus scripture for this week is from Matthew 6, which has taken on new meaning for me. This chapter has really been impacting my heart. The verse of the week is:
Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air;
they do not sow or reap or store away in barns,
and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.
Are you not much more valuable than they?

When I read Amish Peace: Simple Wisdom for a Complicated World I thought I got this. They rely solely on God, they do not store up for unforeseen disasters or even retirement because they trust that god will provide. I so need to get there.

As I mediate Matthew 6, I am asking the hard questions.

Am I living these words?

Do I get the meaning true meaning?

Within every choice am I storing up treasures on earth and placing my trust in things and not God?

      2. For my time in Prayer:
    IntentionalByGrace.com
  • Praying daily for my hubby with accountability from LeighAnn at Intentional by Grace. You can join us or just read about her journey at  A Surrendered Marriage
  •
  • Praying for the women in Group 95 Hello Morning Challenge.
  •        God to open my eyes to the learning and growing opportunities before me.
  •        The continual softening of my children's hearts.
  •        For the new relationships that we are all building and that we are all open to sharing our hearts and lives.

Thanks to Heather at Do Not Depart I have found a prayer app. She recommend some great apps to help in drawing closer to God.

3. As an AC for the Hello Morning Challenge with Inspired to Action I will be sharing a verse from Psalms each day that goes with the Run to Him bible study. This week Psalms are 51, 6, & 103. Aside from the no internet issue, I have been naturally waking at five, my internal clock has been reset. Yeah.

4. Homeschooling

5. Meal planning

6. Blogging daily,

This was a prime example of  Proverbs 16:9
In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
I planned my week and God determine that things would take a slight detour. I was without internet service most nights and some days. Amen, thus begins a new week.

Last week blog roll:
1. My elusive seventh post is still eluding me.
7. Week 7 Goals

7. I will be boxing up for Goodwill my just in case stuff. The things I am keeping for that rainy day.

8. I finished reading and Pursuit of Proverbs 31

This week I will start reading: I am excited to start reading this book.

My basic goal for the year is to finish reading a book per week.

9. Working out for an hour each day. I am trying different programs for this. This week I will be comparing the WII active to the Xbox 360 Your Shape  to see which one I will keep. They both seem to be a lot of fun, but the active is a bit temperamental with the remotes.

10. Organizing my computer files.  My efforts here were interrupted by a glaring lack of Internet. It is amazing how easy it is to collect internet clutter.

What are you hoping to accomplish this week?
